“ We went here on a Saturday night for some paella. The chips and salsa were so good we finished off one bowl and was working on a second bowl when our food arrived. We decided on the paella del mar (seafood). We also ordered a large serving of fried plantains. The plantains were so sweet and delicious and the paella was so fresh and flavorful. I had a horchata, which is a rice milk drink that was sweet and refreshing. My husband had the sweet tea that was southern sweet, lol. Our server was very attentive and kept the refills coming until my husband told him no more. Service is beyond excellent. It's definitely a place we plan on going back to. ”

“ This place is awesome been coming here for over 10 years. They're frozen margaritas are amazing I love the chicken and rice meal their paella is amazing the burritos are off the chain. The chips and salsa are hands down delicious. The location on Howell Mill was always my favorite but since they moved I've been going to the one on Ponce and it looks like half the staff went there and they are equally amazing there. I definitely recommend eating here I haven't had a bad meal yet ”
“ Great first impression today. Everything I ate was delicious. Small place, I thought upstairs was enclosed but nope. Service is exceptional-they are close by-ordering is fast and efficient. Restroom clean-could use a lil upgrade but works well. Salsa & Chips- fresh delicious salsa, I prefer a thicker yellow warm corn chip over the thin white easily breaking chips. I kept that salsa to eat on everything. Paella Vegan- great choice. Delicious and full of flavor. I don’t like to eat whole artichoke-they feel like a pointless filler but I do desire the flavor profile it adds. Hot skillet, makes every bite warm and delightful. Fair price-added jalapenos toreados. Veggie Kabab-Great Veggie option. Looks and taste A1. I want to come back and try the steak, soups and garlic bread. I’m very full and the prices were all great. The Taiwan Christmas music was a lil off but I get it- it’s Christmas. Wish they had a few more sides and a vegan soup. Plantains-PERFECT- should’ve orders a large Tostones-PERFECT- should’ve orders a large. The garlic sauce with it pairs perfectly It’s easy to get packed but they move fast and in the hotter months they have more seating. Added to Favorites ”
“ The food was excellent. I have the seafood paella. It was the best that I've had in my life. It was so fresh and delightful. The horchata was amazing again, very fresh. I also enjoyed my fish tacos. The chips and salsa were very light and refreshing. Can't say enough good things about this location. The food was incredible. Service was great. The sangria mixed with margarita was amazing. I love this combination! Will definitely be returning when back in town ”
“ Wonderful food and amazing service!!!Like seeing an old friend! For no obvious reason, I have not been to la Fonda in over 15 years. The food was delicious I had the human sandwich which was wonderful and the black beans didn't disappoint at all. Service was great! Carlos was my server and constantly was looking after refilling my iced tea and replenishing the salsa which was really good. I plan to start coming back very frequently. Also they play great Cuban music which makes the whole experience for authentic. ”

The quarter chicken is my second favorite. The chicken is super juicy and packed with flavors. The service is super efficient and one just can’t beat their prices. ”
“ Went for Paella and they did not disappoint! I had lunch and wasn’t sure if the dinner menu was different to be honest. The lunch Paella, they had 3 different types of Paella. I had the basic, it came with shrimp, delicious sausage, a beautifully cooked chicken thigh, which was fabulous and calamari. The rice was fantastic. Not sticky and not too loose. The plate came together so well. Had a couple of margaritas. They were very good. The service was excellent. We sat out on the balcony, which was nice to sit out and eat. The weather was great. ”
